When I started this website I posted photo’s of my craft space. This was back when we lived in Hawaii and I had more room. You can find that post here .
Now that we’re in a new place, and have been for a while, I get to have a different corner. Since this new apartment is significantly smaller (we’re talking 1600sq ft down to 995sq ft) I had to get a little creative with everything and even *gasp* downsize! Back in Hawaii I had an entire chest dedicated to fabric. It was a nice little chest and we still have it, however now it’s being used as part of the office . Which just means it has our printer sitting on it and it’s located beside the computer and it’s now being used to store a large amount of my husbands military gear.
Saddened by my sudden realization of how little storage space this small apartment has, I surfed the web and came across this gem of a post at MaryJanes and Galoshes. This was perfect! Continue reading

The Coffee Table!
IT’S FINALLY FINISHED!
The project my husband and I have been working on for so long! Most of the time consuming part was hand planning all the boards. That took forever!
So here it is in all of its glory!
Workbench
Just finished a fairly large sized project. It was VERY necessary considering how my original workbench was two sort of wobbly saw horses with a large slab of very thick plywood laying on top. Horrible for hand planning. Haha!
I looked around and decided that a good workbench was in order. After that thought I looked at some binged images of simple workbenches to get an idea of what to do.
Literally one day later I finished this.
Pallet Furniture
My husband and I have started making pallet furniture and saving money in the process ![]()
So far (given we had no tools whatsoever) have plunked down a couple hundred to build up a woodworking shop. It was my mothers day present
Usually I’m all about saving money but all this pays for itself with the money we will be saving from not buying furniture every time I want to change the house or build an amazing loft bed/playhouse for my little girl when she’s older. I’ve been browsing on annawhite.com. While some of those projects I can do with pallet wood, others I won’t. Gotta be realistic in my abilities right now. When I was young my Pap Pap had a little workshop and I remember going in there and helping him. Best memories ever.
Anyways! Pallet furniture!
A few weeks ago we finished our very first ever table. Excuse how rough it looks, like I said, very first table.
